Celebrating Timeless Design with Kasthall at Stockholm Design Week
This year, Kasthall celebrates 135 years of timeless design and craftsmanship while embarking on an exciting new journey. As part of Stockholm Design Week, we had the pleasure of co-hosting an exclusive press event with Kasthall, unveiling their latest innovations in textile design.
During the event, Kasthall introduced Fasad, the world’s first rug collection made from recycled wool, designed by David Chipperfield Design. They also presented Goose Eye Anniversary, a fresh interpretation of the bestselling Goose Eye Icon, originally created by Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg, now available in five new colorways.
Held at Kasthall’s Flagship Store, the event provided an inspiring setting as the space stood empty in anticipation of a major transformation—symbolizing the brand’s renewed vision and identity. Guests enjoyed coffee and sparkling drinks while engaging in insightful discussions led by Elna Nykänen Andersson, journalist and Head of Global PR & Communication at Kasthall. The panel featured Mirkku Kullberg (CEO), Christian Skovhus (VP Global Sales), and Ingállil Ulvdell (Head of Range), who shared their perspectives on the evolution of design and sustainability in the textile industry.
As part of Stockholm Design Week, Kasthall also hosted a series of Design Talks, offering further opportunities for inspiration and dialogue. After the press event, attendees were invited to stay, enjoy a glass of bubbly, and continue the conversations.
