Twelve Glasses, One Colorful Journey- Popglas Press lunch at Matbaren
Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting two inspiring press lunches together with Popglas to celebrate the launch of the final three glasses in their iconic collection – Popglas 10, 11, and 12. The events took place at Matbaren in Stockholm, where guests enjoyed a seasonal lunch crafted by chef Mathias Dahlgren, perfectly paired with the vibrant world of Popglas.
Popglas- A Legacy of Color and Craftsmanship
Originally designed by Gunnar Cyrén in 1967, the Popglas was reintroduced in 2021 by his three sons. Since then, three new glasses have been launched each year – celebrating not only a design classic, but a colourful piece of Swedish design history.
With the release of Popglas 10, 11, and 12, the collection is now complete. Each glass is hand-blown by master glassblowers Stefan and Mikael Erlandsson at Konsthyttan Ulven outside of Uppsala. Every glass has its own colour identity – unique on its own, and even more striking when displayed together.
Celebrating Craft and Togetherness
Each Popglas tells its own story, but it’s when they come together that the full spectrum of Gunnar Cyrén’s vision truly shines. This was felt during the press events, where guests from the world of design, interiors, and lifestyle gathered to experience the full collection in an atmosphere of creativity and conversation.
A heartfelt thank you to Popglas, to Plodder PR, and to everyone who joined us for these memorable moments.
